Over the past 8 months, all of us connected to STAR/Cosmos have been working hard to define what our shared culture and values will look like. Now that we have reached the end of that process, I would especially like to thank all of our families, clients, staff, partners and all the other stakeholders that have helped us through this process. All of us at Mosaic Support Services are looking forward to the opportunities that this year will bring. With the NDIS rollout now announced, we can move forward with greater certainty on what we will be doing over the coming years. We are excited at seeing the scheme extend to more people until it is fully rolled out in June 2019. (more…)
The Mosaic Support Services office will be closed over the Christmas and New Year break from the 25th December, reopening on Monday the 4th January 2016. There will be some managers in the office throughout this time;

Mosaic Support Services has had an exciting month catching up with staff and families at different events across September.
A day and evening session was held for families on the 21st September. These events saw an number of families come together and chat, meet new people and ask questions about the new program areas: My Home, My Community, My Time Away and My Case Management.
Recently, we held separate AGM’s for Cosmos Inc (Cosmos) and STAR Tasmania (STAR) in respect of the 2014/15 year. This was the last time we will do this as separate entities and it was a good time to reflect on all the great things that both entities have achieved in terms of client support programs individually over the past years. Moving forward, it is now extremely exciting to think about all the great things that we will be able to achieve together and we have lots of exciting plans to roll out.
Mosaic Support Services had their first general staff meetings this week for the merged organisation. Advocacy Tasmania and Access Pay presented to the staff as well as the Executive Managers.
Mosaic Support Services held three sessions over two days and the number of attendees was the highest we have had to date. Thank you to everyone that gave up there time to attend the meeting.
Mental Health Carers Tasmania in partnership with City of Hobart invites you to join with them to celebrate health & wellbeing and recovery, walking from the Regatta Ground to Parliament House Lawns for free activities, entertainment, food and information.
UR Connected will be there. So come on down and help us reach our target of 2,015 circles for 2015.

As you may be aware; STAR Tasmania Inc. and Cosmos are merging as of the 1st July 2015.
Catherine Viney (current CEO of Cosmos) has recently announced that she is heading off to become the State Manager for Baptcare and, as a consequence, will not be contending for the role of CEO of the merged entity. (more…)
