The CSM’s have enjoyed having Nick in the team as he is enthusiastic, brings lots of experience of  the sector and has worked very hard at making Sonny’s return  an enjoyable one. As of the 30th June 2014, Respite will be moving back to a structure of one Client Service Manager (CSM) per unit and dissolving the Client Liaison Officer positions.

This means  that Sonny Kapoor (who currently manages both Units) will be concentrating on managing just the Children’s Unit and we have a new CSM for the Adult’s Unit. Respite is pleased to welcome former HR Manager, Robert Blackwell into the position of Adult’s Unit CSM. Robert comes to us with a wealth of experience from both government and non-government positions and most recently HR Manager of STAR. Robert has previously managed Respite when he worked in government therefore he has an excellent understanding of the issues faced by families, clients and staff within the Respite environment. Sadly we will be farewelling Amy Siggins (former Client Liaison Officer for Children’s Unit) from Respite as she takes up a new challenge within the Supported Tenancy Program. We all wish Amy the best of luck and hope that she pops into to see us every now and then. Jim Hooper (Adult’s Unit Client Liaison Officer) will be returning to his substantive position at the Adults Unit as a Level three Support Worker. We thank both Amy and Jim for the fantastic work they did in the past year in their Client Liaison Officer positions. (more…)
