48 Hour Break provides clients with a weekend-long holiday experience, travelling to destinations around Tasmania and visiting a range of attractions along the way.

48 Hour Break locations and attractions differ each month, providing the opportunity for clients to explore the whole of our beautiful state!

When: 2:00 pm Friday 28th July - 5:00 pm Sunday 30th July

Where: Coles Bay

*Short Term Accommodation funding required. Due to location of this weekend away, there will be an additional hourly rate on the Sunday. If you are unsure if you have the correct funding, we can support you to access or request the correct funds.

At 48hr break, Mosaic will implement COVID and Flu safe behaviours which include:

Letting someone know if they are not feeling well (a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) may be required if the symptoms are consistent with COVID symptoms and family consulted for consent). Anyone who is unwell will be isolated from the others at 48hr break until they can be returned to their home regardless of RAT result

  • The promotion of hand hygiene (washing with soap and water or hand sanitiser) and cough and sneeze etiquette; throwing away used tissues, etc.

  • Mask wearing may be required for support staff when 1.5 metre distance cannot be maintained indoors or when supporting someone who is unwell (excludes eating/drinking and bedrooms)

  • Maintaining social distancing where this is possible

  • Limiting the number of people in small spaces, including bedrooms and bathrooms

  • Using outdoor areas for activities as much as possible, weather permitting

  • Daily safety meetings
