The Boards of Able Australia Services and Mosaic Support Services are pleased to announce their intention to merge effective 2 December 2024, subject to final Board approval. This strategic merger aims to secure a stronger and more sustainable future for both organisations, enhancing service delivery to adults and children with disabilities across Tasmania. Together, we will be stronger.
It is with a mixture of elation and sadness that we announce the resignation of our long standing Board Director and current Chairperson, Kate Cuthbertson SC. Today the Hon Mark Dreyfus KC MP, Attorney-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, announced the appointment of nine new Judges to the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Division 2) to hear protection visa and migration cases, of which Kate is one.

On Friday 21st June The SHORTest day of the year clients and employees from across Mosaic participated in Shorts Day – a fundraiser for SPEAK UP! The Mosaic Festival of the Arts 2024 was once again a huge success – with the bar being raised once again.

Kym has built strong connections in her local community at the Rosetta Store & Bakery, and last month was treated to a surprise for her birthday by the wonderful employees there.
Recently Margie T went on a trip up to Launceston. Being able to use Mosaic’s Respite facilities meant that Margie was able to not only travel in style but have all her accessibility needs met. Margie described her weekend away as an “awesome road trip”.

Our beloved headquarters in Bathurst Street is embarking on an adventure, and we couldn't be more excited! While we’re awaiting the opening of our new hubs , our Bathurst Street programs will be taking up winter residencies in a range of temporary, vibrant, and inspiring spaces.

On Thursday 8th June, the Moonah Arts Centre held an Exhibition Launch for four new shows – two of them are solo exhibitions by Mosaic artists Kaye G and Mathew D.
Gerard D has been supported by Mosaic to achieve different goals for many years, however most recently it has come to light that Gerard not only has a delightful singing voice, but a passion for music and sound.
