Client and Familiy Communication - 29 October 2020

Dear Valued Clients and Families

I wanted to provide you with some reassurance as Tasmania has opened it’s borders this week and we will more than likely see tourists and workers entering our State more freely.

Throughout the COVID-19 situation, Mosaic have developed a number of resources, plans and actions to prevent the spread of the virus in our community, and we continue to work under these protective measures.

This includes strong infection control and hand washing practices, practicing social distancing when we can and operating withing Government guidelines for room density numbers. We have made adjustments to the way we provide support services where necessary to ensure we can continue to do this in a safe way.

Mosaic have made sure our PPE and sanitising products are well stocked and we have alternate program and accommodation spaces available if groups or individuals need to be supported in isolation. We have put in place a number of virtual supports so those who can't attend programs can video link in and stay in touch with social media groups. These are also in place for our clients who we support in an independent living home and can be used if family and friend visits are restricted in the future.

Last week we received an update from Communities Tas and NDIS regarding the Tasmanian Coronavirus (COVID-19) Disability Service Providers Preparedness and Response Plan. This document provides guidance to Tasmanian Disability Service Providers to ensure they are prepared for, and can manage the impacts of, Coronavirus on their business, people with disabilities being supported and their workforce. We are including this Response Plan and a number of resources from it in our own organisational planning.

Of course, Mosaic hopes that our organisation, and the people we support, remain free from exposure to COVID-19. However in the unfortunate case we may become affected we have a clear containment and response plan to help us manage the situation.

Mosaic will always be guided by Government Health Advice and directions. We will always put the health and safety of our clients and employees first and we will communicate any updates with you as they come to hand. It is probably a good time to get in contact and make sure your preferred contact method is updated so you can receive information in a timely manner and in a way that suits you best. We can send you updates via email, sms or post and we will also put important announcements on social media and our website for easy access.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with your preferred Mosaic contact person to discuss this further.

Kind regards

Mosaic ICT
