Clients and Family Communication - 8 April 2020
7 April 2020
Dear Mosaic Clients and Families
As we come up to the Easter period, I just wanted to take the opportunity to touch base with you all and provide further information about the ‘Essential Support Services’ we are continuing to provide, here at Mosaic.
Over the last week, the State and Federal Government, NDIS and NDIA have provided clear guidelines for the continuation of Essential Disability Support Services. These guidelines have confirmed all the measures we have put in place across Mosaic to continue our support to you during the COVID-19 situation.
Most of you would have had direct contact with your Program Managers, Coordinators or Team Leaders to help you understand the changes we have implemented including reducing non essential visitors to homes and facilities, reduced group numbers and changes to locations for Community Access programs and our camps and vacation care programs, which are being replaced by modified Essential Services Retreats. I wanted to thank you for your understanding of these changes. Through these measures we are able to continue our Essential Support Services whilst at the same time keeping the risk of introducing COVID-19 to a minimum. Keeping all our clients and employees safe is of the utmost importance to us.
We have been undertaking significant scenario planning which could be actioned should a client or employee test positive for COVID-19. Of course, we really hope we never need to put these plans into action, but you can rest assured we are well prepared if this situation arises.
We have also been introducing innovative ways to connect with Clients who are self isolating and missing being part of our Community Access groups. This has included phone and video conferencing, social media groups and live streaming. In the coming weeks we’ll be looking to expand these options to give more of you the opportunity to stay connected.
The Mosaic HQ team will continue to monitor news and announcements and will be communicating regularly with our support staff over the Easter period. Should there be any changes required to the supports we are providing, we will respond and communicate those changes to you immediately.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us through your preferred method of phone, email or in person so we can help ease your mind.
Kind Regards
Lynne Harwood
