20 Years of Edge Radio!

Edge Radio celebrates 20 years this month! 

Mosaic has a longstanding history with Edge Radio, which has provided the people we support with a mainstream platform to broadcast on for over 15 years. 

The most recent iteration of this collaboration is the X-PRESS Radio program, currently led by Mosaic Tutor and Edge Radio Station Manager Hannah R. The program airs twice monthly on Mondays and Fridays, and under Hannah’s guidance, the radio announcers at Mosaic have excelled in their creativity and challenged community expectations. In addition to being one of Edge’s longest-running programs, X-PRESS Radio is an award-winning radio show having won the 2020 National Community Broadcasting Association of Australia Award for excellence in innovative programming.

However, it is not just people at Mosaic who benefit from the work Edge Radio does as a community broadcaster. Edge supports a diverse range of individuals, groups and local music talent to have a voice and a platform for exposure in the wider community. 

This month Edge’s annual fundraiser is underway, aiming to raise $20,000 and culminating in EDGEFEST, a huge festival concert featuring local Tassie bands. EDGEFEST takes place this Saturday 18th November at Altar from 4pm. Tickets are $35.
