Mosaic Pay Review Update April 2026

Dear Mosaic Disability Support Workers, past and present

We would like to provide a further key update regarding the Mosaic Pay Remediation process.

The complexity and accuracy required by this process has caused some delay, which we acknowledge and do not take lightly. 

As discussed in our March communication, we are able to now advise that we have completed a final review of the calculations and have prepared processes and systems to make payments. 

We are now undertaking testing of the processes, to ensure accuracy at each step of the way.  It has been a complex process to collect data across the audit period, spanning multiple payroll systems and enterprise agreements. We are taking the necessary care to ensure the final outcome is correct and that the payment process is smooth.

Since our last update, we have:

  • Continued communication with the Fair Work Ombudsman, responding to their requests for information

  • Continued integration with IT developers and support to prepare our systems to make the back payments.

  • Finalised the dedicated communications tool.

  • Moved into the final stage of legal review of the calculation methodology.

  • Commenced testing of our process for the backpay, with the initial testing being successful.

Our next steps are to finalise the testing of our processes, receive the final legal sign off and complete all governance requirements prior to payment. We anticipate this will take no more than 6 weeks – and we will keep you updated if anything needs to change.

Prior to payment, employees will receive a statement of their entitlement, interest and superannuation. Payment to current employees will be first, and will be scheduled in the nearest off-cycle pay week. 

Following this, we will contact former employees about the steps required for their payment.  This will include requiring identification and confirmation of various administrative details.

As advised previously, a FAQs document has been prepared, providing answers to questions you may have.
